Daphne jezoensis Maximowicz (1866)

 

Native to N-Japan and far eastern parts of Russia / 0,5 m tall / grows in deciduous forests and prefers a humus rich soil / summer-deciduous !  / hardy / scented / red fruits / germination of seeds begins during fall the following year /

 

Daphne jezoensis is also seen as a subspecies: Daphne pseudo-mezereum subsp. jezoensis (Maximovicz) Hamaya
