about 0,8 m high and more than 1 m across / evergreen / no seeds / thrives in heavy loamy soil that is without any drainage / fragrance / inflorescence seems to be terminal when the flowers begin to open, during flowering the new shoot overtops the inflorescence / the lobes of the flowers are not as long and acute as the lobes of Daphne pontica / leaves show a wonderful spiral arrangement /
Daphne pontica hybrid comes from England, Junkers Nursery received a plant from a friend and sold the propagated plants first under the name of Daphne pontica. Then the nursery corrected it and this hybrid is listed as Daphne pontica hybrid.
