distribution Greece for Daphne jasminea subsp. jasminea also named the Delphi form / high ca. 0,2 m and 0,3 m wide / growing on limestone rocks / hardy with protection / evergreen in the cold greenhouse / not every clone has fragrance / new upright form is in cultivation
Daphne jasminea subsp. jarmilae occurs in the north African region / up to 0,7 m upright growth / flowers are very small and thin, creamy coloured and only few, often overseen (the pictures below are always close-ups for the subspecies jarmilae, only a collectors item)
Daphne x whiteorum is a hybrid with Daphne jasminea and Daphne petraea , and Daphne x ‘Forarch’ with parent Daphne arbuscula. These hybrids were made by Robin White. A hybrid with Daphne cneorum is also existing.
