Hybrid parents: Daphne caucasica x Daphne sericea ‘Collina’
about 1 m high and also wide / semi-deciduous / hardy / scented / brings always new blossoms - long flowering / prefers a sunny place but is very tolerant
it is a chance hybrid from the United States, first sold as Daphne caucasica for years, then recognized as a hybrid / ‘Jims Pride’ (after Jim Cross) is the name of the type clone, sports of this clone are ‘Beulah Cross’ (name of the mother of Jim Cross, variegated leaves) and ‘Summer Ice’ (sport selected by Dr. R. Ticknor, variegated leaves) /
R. White made this hybrid with the above mentioned parents and the plants from the U.S. are so similar that they were integrated into this cross, R. White’s hybrids named ‘Eternal Fragrance’ and ‘Pink Eternal Fragrance’
